Capital Expenditure Review Work Program

– The capital expenditure function, in general, comprises authorization, acquisition, classification, maintenance, and periodic write-off of depreciable assets.

– This work program will assist to review controls in the capital expenditure area and will focus on capital expenditure area processes and transactional analysis.

– In the following work program sections, various client personnel are interviewed to determine which controls are in place and effective over the Expenditure Cycle. At various steps in the work program, certain controls will be tested on a sample selected using the process below.
